Hello,
I got a Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 14AHP9 and I want to use it to test things that my desktop cannot do. The main things that I want to test is my Accelerometer and Hall sensor. I can use daemon's, but I would prefer a GUI app (just because I'm kind of lazy). All I need is some pointers in the right direction. here is the spec sheet if you need it https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PD … _Spec.pdf/ . also, I would like confirmation on if this has a GPS. I could not find anything one way or the other, but gpsd does not work so I'm leaning toward it not having one.

(your link leads to a 404, not relevant though)
The hall sensor is for closing the lid, there's a magnet somewhere. Fun fact, I often have my laptop back2back with other peoples laptops, and they sometimes have the magnets in the lid, while my hall sensors are in the lid, so my laptop thinks the lid is closed and goes black. Gave me quite a shock the first time it happened.
The accelerometer is for the screen orientation, but it might only change when the laptop is in tablet mode. See the archwiki for my laptop for some info on it: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo … ablet_Mode
Your laptop most likely does not have a GPS, it's uncommon on laptops, but you don't need that on a laptop anyway. Most websites that require location will get it from your router with good enough precision, and it's not like you will be using google maps for showing where you need to drive along like on a phone.
Also, I've seen your laptop model a couple of times here, you might find something there: https://github.com/tomsom/yoga-linux

Why I run Arch? To "BTW I run Arch" the guy one grade younger.
And to let my siblings and cousins laugh at Arsch Linux...

Hello,
thanks for the info. Screen rotations work, but things like this https://sensor-js.xyz/demo.html cannot detect the Accelerometer data. Is there anyway to make that work?

Why in the name of hell should you ever need that?
Also, it's designed for mobile phones or *real* tablets, like the header text says.
If you want to get sensory data from your phone, I recommend the app "phyphox". It can read a shitload of senssors I didn't even know existed and visualize them in nice graphs.
The other thing aside from software why you should not use a laptop for sensor data is that cell phones do quite some stuff to calibrate them.
