one server in mirrorlist
multiple pacman -Syy
and finally new version is recognized.
when trying to update my system, I get an error saying:
after I verify my mirrors are up to date by regenerating my mirrorlist file from here: https://archlinux.org/mirrorlist/, I still get lib32-sqlite as previous version:
$ sudo pacman -S lib32-sqlite

looking for conflicting packages...
Packages (1) lib32-sqlite-3.48.0-1
Total Installed Size: 1.44 MiB
Net Upgrade Size: 0.01 MiB

sqlite is still showing the wrong version for update.
any suggestions?

You haven't shared the error. I'll hazard a guess that you have disabled the multilib repo in pacman.conf

Na, -S would have said package not found in that case. This is just an out of date *mirror*, not mirror list. Only the first one matters.
Edit: well that or because of just installing and not updating. I assumed it came up during an update as that's the thread it was originally posted in.

sorry bout that, yes, I was doing a system update and got the error the OP has in this thread:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p2224302
I've tried updating my mirrors with US only, canada only, rebooting updating mirrors again, for some reason it's still pulling from an out of date mirror. what I haven't tried is just 1 mirror entry in my mirrorlist.

I'll say it again, only the top mirror matters, and it doesn't matter at all where it's located.

thanx, I've tried with 1 mirror, a couple different times and either I'm picking wrong mirrors, or something else is going on:
never mind... solving this. as I was going through the steps and composing this long response with the steps I've done for the last hour, finally after my umpteenth
pacman -Syy
it's finally recognizing the proper version.
