sudo journalctl -b -δ

The bigger δ (1,2,3,4,…) is the older the journal you'll see.
One of them likely has the NM timeout covered?

I can't find which one it is and I'm having a hard time replicating the problem now.

Everything seems to work so I will mark this thread as solved now.
