[SOLVED] Pulseaudio Youtube buffering

I am having issues with pulse audio, it causes youtube to buffer and is having issues with headphones. It also mutes the main channel randomly

my current temporary fix to this issue is

systemctl restart --user pulseaudio

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio Youtube buffering

Have you tried switching to pipewire+wireplumber+pipewire-pulse?
pulseaudio is on its way out, that being said: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PulseA … do_no_play

Thanks for the response, however the solution you linked didn't work. I am using pulseaudio because hyperland volume control uses it. I will try switching everything to pipewire and ditch pulseaudio altogether if i cant fix it.

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio Youtube buffering

I think switching to pipewire is the best solution.

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio Youtube buffering

Fyi, pipewire-pulse provide a pulseaudio layer that the hyprland volume control can use like the actual pulseaudio.
If the symptoms don't go away after the switch, feel free to re-open the thread.
