what happendto gnome?

since yesterday...with the last xserver and etc that gnome does not respond to anything...what just happend? i cant open anything..this one really pissed me off...not even open a image viwer from gnome...dunno what made tjis..anyone had this problm?

like 6 times....same result..everythiog that uses gnome libs just freezes...very strange...

Try to login with another user to see if it's a problem with your user or with the system.

problm solved i just simple created a new user and login..but never the less its very boring..

yeh, i had this issue.
appears to be some lib issues, i dunno.
at first it seemed to be related to root's user settings, but after a while the new user account started locking up (while using `cp` )...
so i just installed another base, took me an hour so far to get everything as it is on the other install, but the problems seemed to have gone. :S

I'm having something similar happening on my laptop.
After upgrading esd to the "current" version, I'm having it freezing.
It's sufficent to restart the esd daemon to have gnome waking up and working fine (no sounds plays, obviously).

Is it a esd bug or what?

i think it maybe have something to do with udev..dunno...but cleannig the home for me did worked....arch voodoo is still in a beta situation...but never the less its very boring...
