[Solved]Wine application appearance

Hello all,

I do not use too much Windows applications, actualy I do only one, and that one is portalble version. But I had to install another one, installation went without problem, but when I start this new application the appearance is really weird, the menu bar is not visibel ie. transparent, when I move the window then it all becomes transparent, when I minimise the window then the border remain visible and all the background is visible through this border.

Am I missing some settings or whatever?
The other one (portable) is working well, no issues like mentioned above.

Re: [Solved]Wine application appearance

I would suggest checking the compatibility of the app, if others have used it or not. Further, check your system resource usage. The boundaries being visible and rest being transparent usually means the process is hogging up resources and your system is lagging.

Re: [Solved]Wine application appearance

What application and can you illustrate this w/ screenshots?
From the description it could be
* an ARGB window
* a masked/shaped window
* color key (GL/videos)
* the application just not updating/responding, leading to a frozen visual

Also what's your graphics stack like (GPU(s), drivers, display server, compositor)?

Installing winegui and enabling Virtual Desktop Window solved this issue
