KDE black screen with cursor after wakeup from suspend (intel Iris)

I am fairly new to linux desktop and KDE so please forgive me if I don't include all the relevant info.

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2
Kernel Version: 6.13.5-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz
Memory: 23.2 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics
Manufacturer: LENOVO
Product Name: 20W5S61M00
System Version: ThinkPad T15 Gen 2i

After a recent update I am getting a black screen with cursor after waking the laptop from suspend. This happens intermittently so I cannot seem to reproduce it.
I am able to go access the tty using CTRL +ALT + F3 however can't cant seem to restart plasmashell.

Sorry I forgot to take a pic of the error when trying to restart plasmashell with "systemctl restart --user plasma-plasmashell"
From memory it said something XDG_RUNTIME_DIR and DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS not defined.

Could someone please help point me in the right direction to begin troubleshooting? I really don't know where to start.

Thanks in advance
