pacman -R

i encountered a probleme here recently. when you try to remove a group from your system, other packages probably have dependencies on packages in this group and so you can't remove it. so you have to remove packages "manually" one at a time, leaving those that are required by others. it would be nice if there would be some option (like -c, -s) that would remove just those packages from a group that aren't required by other packages. is this planned for pacman3 or can i file in a feature request?

Go ahead and file a feature request in the bug tracker (make sure to set the category to 'pacman') and I'll look at it eventually.

eventually!!?? then i'll set its severity to critical to speed up the proces. just kidding . a feature has been requested here: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/6505
