I know its the most commonly used file system and the best one for general compatibility and arch purposes, but when i try to format my usb with rufus, i only get FAT32 or NTFS
I am using windows 11 by the way

If you're trying to use the ISO, you don't format it. If you're trying to install Arch on USB, you'll need to do it from linux.

I really can't. It's about as simple and straightforward as I can be. That you're asking for more info makes me wonder why you want Arch in the first place.

Perhaps you could start by reading the installaton guide? (hint - the first sentence explains one method of "installing from Linux".)

well - Scimmia is quite right here: Arch isn't your new-to-linux-average-Joe-playground - it actually requires some base knowledge of linux in the first place
the fact you already fail to gather enough information yourself to use known and well documented tools to create an install media is enough to raise the question: "uhm, are you REALLY SURE you want to use Arch?" - along with setup up multiboot with windows correctly
as to an experienced user your type of questions already ring alarm bells like "no matter what to reply - they likely come back in 2 - 24 hours and complain about a completely broken system and accuse us as the bad ones" - and we just try to stop you before that
if you don't have the require knowledge about computers in general to create an OS install media because you seem to either fail to comprehend existing documentation - or outright refuse to read it in the first place - sorry, we all spent our free time here - and YOU are just someone not many here are willing to invest the required time into - but hence you firmly adviced to RTFM yourself - it's all out there - you just have to read it - and if you fail to understand something ask specific questions about specific issues - a "I don't get it" is way too broad of a question to use a forum topic to teach you required basics of linux
