[Solved] Sound works very breifly and then cuts out

I've just installed arch with pulseaudio and am setting it up. I got this issue where the sound wasn't working. I then used the sound test in settings and it cut back in halfway through the test. Then when i try to play sound (testing with spotify) it plays for a brief moment then cuts out again. The sound isnt stopped (spotify keeps playing the song) but there is no sound. I switch to pipewire because i saw people saying that pulse had some bugs but it still doesnt work.

Look at active systemd services. Maybe more than one service/app(pipewire, pulse) trying to access/manage sound devices at same time.

Or switch alsa backend:
Disable pipewire and pulse systemd services
rm -rf /etc/alsa/*   :HOLD ON: backup before remove!

Play sound on console: Say "mpg123 sample.mp3"

Do you have gst-plugin-pipewire installed?
Last update broke compatibility with pulse. You can either ditch gst-plugin-pipewire or move to pipewire installing pipewire-pulse.
