Hi,

I can't set my external display to 100Hz in sway, it only shows the full resolution @60Hz option and generic options:

    800x600 @ 60.021 Hz
    640x480 @ 60.021 Hz

I have tried it from my PC/HDMI, ^ same output. It works on windows with 100Hz though, and for my PC/HDMI it works at 180Hz (also on sway).
The other monitor names seem to be generic ones, I can remember a 2560x1080 resolution that disappeared.
/sys/class/drm/card1-HDMI-A-1/modes shows the same modes as above.

What could be causing this? Is my monitor wierd or is sway at fault?

edit: I also tried swayfx, same result (its based off sway 1.9)

Re: no 100Hz option for display in sway

GPU? Intel? Hybrid?
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=303203

There was https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p2204342 however in that case sway actually (unconditionally) triggered the 8bpc mode - maybe that has been reversed and 10bpc kick your signal out of the capable range.
Check the situation w/ X11 and post "xrandr --verbose" (will include the edid)

Is 2240x1400 the physical resolution of the eDP or are you scaling it?

Re: no 100Hz option for display in sway

it's a integrated AMD, 6800u/680M

Is 2240x1400 the physical resolution of the eDP or are you scaling it?

no, it's native.

Check the situation w/ X11 and post "xrandr --verbose" (will include the edid)

yay, bashing around with X11. will do later today.
