Laptop Becoming Very Laggy While Playing Resource Heavy Games

Issue is exactly as stated in the title. I'll be playing a game when all of the sudden, everything on my computer becomes very laggy. My cursor moves fine, but opening windows, clicking on buttons, and everything else becomes very slow. Most likely because of NVIDIA drivers, but I'm not entirely sure. Using an Acer Nitro AN515-57, 16 gigs DDR4, i-711800H, 3050 Ti Mobile. Please tell me if you need any more information, and I'm sorry if I missed something important.

I'm no expert on the topic but have you tried tracking the resource usage while playing? You can use nvtop to monitor GPU load and top for CPU. Perhaps there is some kind of bottleneck there. Do the fans of the computer start making a lot of noise? Maybe it's overheating after a while and that's why performance is being affected (I notice you have a "Mobile" GPU, gaming laptops have been known to overheat). You should be able to see temperature from nvtop.

New to Arch and Linux in general. Very happy for now!

I'll take a look when I get the chance, thanks

It does not seem to be thermal throttling. I had a similar issue when I used Windows, so it's either hardware related or an issue from a software that would be running on both systems; most likely either discord, zoom, or steam. I'll see if closing these fixes the issue when I can

Nope, not software either. That means it's most likely hardware related. Thank you all for your help! That was sarcasm. At least Frankwarch actually bothered to do something for me. Even one of you guys could have at least said something. I mean, I didn't even get a RTFM from you guys. Couldn't even put in the bare minimum amount of effort to help me. Feels like my laptop is just a paperweight now. I'll keep trying. On my own, apparently.
