Hey, I'm currently looking to build a new system, and considering what hardware to get...
For context, the planned system currently looks somewhat like this:
- Motherboard: ASUS PROART X870E-Creator WiFi
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
- RAM: 64GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 CL32@6400 (CMK64GX5M2B6400C32)
- GPU: AMD RX 6950XT (from old system)
- PSU: Corsair 1000W (from old system)
Now, I am a bit concerned about the Motherboard. I already confirmed that the Wifi/BT Controller probably won't work as of 2025-03-30, as there is no driver in the mainline kernel that supports the Mediatek MT7927 (14c3:7927). Generally Mediatek is pretty good with drivers though, so I would expect a driver rather soon.
The USB4 controller is listed as ASMedia ASM4242, which ChatGPT tells me has HWID 1B21:2425. According to AsMedia's website, it has Linux support.
However, I am also somewhat concerned about the 10G/2.5G Network Controllers. The manual mentions a generic Marvell AQtion 10Gb Ethernet Controller and a generic Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet Controller...
If anyone has this specific board or manages to find the HW IDs for the other devices on the board, please let me know.

From iommu.info:
0b:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Ethernet Controller I226-V [125c]
0c:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: AQtion AQC113CS NBase-T/IEEE 802.3an Ethernet Controller [Antigua 10G] [94c0]
I should have one running soon.
You can replace the MT7927 M.2 WiFi card (standard mount).
I believe the MT7925 (down to 160MHz channel width) has had support since 6.7.
Fixed URL.

Thanks for the info! I'll probably order the board some time next week. Worst case I return it.
