After today's update, all java apps stop running without even any error output, like azureus, tomcat, netbeans,... Any ideas?

I'm running tomcat OK, while being up-to-date with the repositories.
jacman runs fine...
does a basic "java -version" work OK?

root@Zion ~ # java -version
java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b105)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0-b105, mixed mode, sharing)
Using java -jar IA-jar (a package made previously by me on netbeans) it works flawlessly, but azureus, netbeans,... don't

Update:
I don't know how, but after some reboots, they come back working... I've only updated today my ati-fglrx and i don't believe that that was the problem.

The problem is the time things take to get loaded, on a AMD Turion 2.0GHz it shouldn't take long as the loadavg is below 1.0. Some apps are loaded some aren't, for example: azureus got loaded, netbeans not.

OK... they all get loaded, but takes about 10min to load. Any ideas?

Hmmm, does an strace on the long running process show up anything pathological?

It seems that iptables was the problem maker, i don't know why i've used this iptables configuration before and all worked fine. But after fw shutdown i've managed to get java apps working just fine again. Sorry for the miss convinient trouble :$
