Hello,
I have laserjet MFP m125mw printer and it also has a scanner. I want to use it but when I try to scan sth, hplip gui application asks me to install the external plugin. That is, however, broken and is unable to install the plugin for me. So I tried to download the plugin from AUR (hplip-plugin) to get it. That worked fine but the plugin still cannot be detected.
Is there any way I can force the applications to use the plugin I downloaded? Or is there any other way how to get the scanner working?

Same here for scanning and printing.
Tried
hp-pluginand followed all the instructions. The plugin (in fact a script name hplip-3.25.2-plugin.run) is downloaded but the installation ends with the message:
error: /root/.hplip/hplip-3.25.2-plugin.run file does not match its checksum. File may have been corrupted or altered
Also tried (and failed):
1. Downloading the plugin directly from HP and pointing hp-plugin to it. Same error.
2. Using yay. The plugin is installed, but not seen by cups.
I don't know how pacman/yay interact with hp-plugin (guess it is from HP, not Arch), so it seems an upstream problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

pacman -Qs hpliphttps://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hplip-plugin and https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/hplip/ have to be the exact same versions
