[Abandoned] nvidia optimus, xinitrc, quickie question

hello, i'm trying to follow instructions on -
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA … phics_only
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xinit
specifically xinitrc part is not very clear to me, my system has xinit, if .xinitrc is present in home folder and i only have two xrandr parameters - would it still initiate xinit's own default behaviour on top of the two parameters? or do i have to include contents of the initial /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc file? if i include initial contents - do they match xinit's own default behaviour or it might get borked?
parameters mentioned are as follows in the first link:
xrandr --setprovideroutputsource modesetting NVIDIA-0
xrandr --auto as followed
plus
"Note: At the very least, ensure that the last if block in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc is present in your ~/.xinitrc file to ensure that the scripts in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d are sourced." from the second link
i don't understand what that ^ note means literally at all, i'm not sure if it would be important to me or not

Re: [Abandoned] nvidia optimus, xinitrc, quickie question

ok i don't need to do that at all, my system uses display manager instead, sddm more specifically
"If you are using a display manager then you will need to create or edit a display setup script for your display manager instead of using ~/.xinitrc."
somehow missed that part, sorry. but do i need to still include /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf ?

*what* did not work for you?
This thread is you blogging about xinitrc, not using it and whether you need to "include" /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf (which should probably not exist itfp since it shadows the version in /usr/share) but if there's a problem description, I can't see it.

Re: [Abandoned] nvidia optimus, xinitrc, quickie question

my aim was switching to using nvidia gpu only, first link was provided and steps from instructions were mentioned, *making the system use nvidia gpu only* did not work for me. however i do not seek help anymore, optimus-manager-git from aur made the gpu to be the primary one even tho no manual actions with this soft were made, that's good enough for me. again this doesn't require attention no more, there is no point to continue this

Please replace [Solved] with [Gave Up] , [Abandoned] or [Worked Around] as this is NOT solved.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
