[KDE] Steam not autostarting anymore

I rarely reboot my pc, usually when theres a new kernel update. all of the sudden my steam is not autostarting anymore, it does launch from terminal.

my desktop icon still points to Exec=/usr/bin/steam %U

I'm using the defaul pacman package steam-runtime as always

pacman -Qs steam

 local/steam 1.0.0.82-2
    Valve's digital software delivery system

I've tried reinstalling steam, lib32-libnm are installed, I'm on wayland but it does the same on X
