XFCE not "refreshing" Desktop Directories not showing,*fresh install*

Hi all, this is the problem
i installed  xfce4 + xfce4 goodies
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**SOLVED** thanks to psyBSD

The problem whit "refreshing" only occurs in the desktop,  lets say i create a launcher in the desktop, after i do it, it dosnt show on desktop, but when i reboot , after that i reboot its there
it occurs whit files that i download to desktop etc, if i download a file to the desktop, and then using the File Manager i go to desktop, i can see its there...weird : s ,does anyone knows what could it be?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**NOT SOLVED YET**

About Directories, going to /usr/share/desktop-directories , i can see theres a "Archlinux" entry well created and configured, but i cant see it on my menu, all the "things"<-sorry my english, that were suposse to go in the Archlinux directory, are in "Other"
When i download a game lets say TuxRacer or another ,that should automactly to create a "Games" directory in the menu right?, it dosnt, i tried to created the Directory myself reading the WiKi from xfce.org, but it dosnt show either

I made a fresh install thinking that maybe i did something wrong in some configuration file,  but after a fresh arch+xfce4 install, its the same : s

Any help would be greatly aprecciated

Cheers

for the automatically showing up of stuff (and disappearing, if you delete items) you need dbus and hal afaik

and maybe also another tool, i can't remember it's name, but there is a more general xfce 4.4 thread on the forums where the solution for this "problem" is mentioned

Just noticed the issue myself, running the fam-daemon and restarting xfce solved it for me.

I've had these problems from the first time i tried xfce 4.4 out. I was hoping it would go way in 4.4 final.
