32-bit Debian/Fedora Brother PJ-662 driver on 64-bit Arch

I'm trying to use my new printer with my laptop but system-config-printer gives me an HP driver and the only drivers available are for 32 bit installs of Debian and Fedora. I extracted them but I'm not sure if it's fine to put the files it gives me in the respective places.
Using a vm would be too resource intensive on my weak laptop and I couldn't find anything about a 32-bit distrobox container. I couldn't find anything on the aur but when I installed the drivers on a windows vm on my desktop it showed up as a P-Touch driver before changing to PJ-662 so maybe I could use those or maybe they were just lazy.
If there's no other good way I'm willing to use something like Bedrock linux if I have to. I'm assuming WINE doesn't let you install drivers and use them?

I should note that I tried the instructions in this post in a debian distrobox container so I might retry it in an Ubuntu one for good measure although I think it would still be better if it was installed directly on the system and not in a container.

I followed the instructions and installed cups but it doesn't seem to actually recognize the printer, only adding an entry for it in system-config-printer.

what you're doing is considered bumping and generally frowned upon here. If no one has responded yet, you can just edit the most recent post and add whatever pertinent info you have to it.

See this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=251761.

The fact that it is 32 bit should not be a problem. In my case (also Brother) at that time a lib32 library was missing.

Re: 32-bit Debian/Fedora Brother PJ-662 driver on 64-bit Arch

I followed the guide and made and installed both the lpr driver and cups wrapper but I needed to run /opt/brother/PTouch/pj662/cupswrapper/cupswrapperpj662pt1 for it to be usable. Is there a way to make it be run automatically in the PKGBUILD?
