Hi
I have problems with my soundcard U-PHORIA UMC204HD
I used it about year on Windows and card works fine
But real problems begins with my transition to Linux
1) First problem is "clock source 41 is not valid"
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=275707
I can't fix it with modprobe:
# modprobe -r snd_usb_audio
modprobe: FATAL: Module snd_usb_audio is in use.
Because of clock source error the card doesn't work
To make it just work, I use magic of wireplumber:
systemctl restart --user wireplumber
and then wpctl set-default ... to redirect to necessary output
2) Soundcard prevents the computer from going into sleep mode when it is connected
Screen going black, but pc actually didn't suspend. The souncard shutdown and then up again. PC become unresponsive. There's nothing left but to turn it off.
when the сard is disconnected - everything is fine, except for the presence of sound
I suffer from this problems about а half year. During this time, I have changed several Linux distributions. Used different kernels and learned a lot of new things, but this bug...this is is kinda unbeatable for me.
Now i am install Arch and faced with it again.
