I have installed the steam package from the multilib repository, i'm on arch and i'm using hyprland. When I launch steam either from the app launcher (rofi) or from the terminal the steam window doesn't show up and on the terminal it is stuck on
steam.sh[10422]: Running Steam on arch rolling 64-bit
steam.sh[10422]: STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
I already tried reinstalling steam multiple times, removing config files and running "steam --reset", looking at running processes there is steam, but the window doesn't show up. I also logged in with plasma environment and the behaviour is pretty much the same which makes me think that this is not caused by hyprland, but i'm not sure; don't know if that's relevant but my gpu is the RX 6650XT.

xorg-xwayland installed? That's mandatory for the steam client

Yes, it is installed, but after reinstalling the package launching steam didn't get stuck at that point but still it didn't launch. that's why i completely reinstalled steam, launched it and it finally showed the download window, however after that a loop started in which steam tries to remove files in the folder .local/share/steam/ubuntu12_64 and after a few cycles a window appears stating that steamwebhelper is not responding. From there i couldn't do anything else; tried restarting steam with hardware acceleration, restarting steamwebhelper, which are the options showed on this window, but it is stuck trying to delete these files.
