[SOLVED] Black screen after trying to install cinnamon on a fresh inst

I'm trying to install Arch with Cinnamon on a virtual machine (VirtualBox) and after restarting the installation I encounter a black screen. It must be something related to X11 because I've tested on a different virtual machine installing Gnome (wayland) and then installing cinnamon on top of it. When selecting the experimental Cinnamon wayland option in SDM, it starts, but if I choose Cinnamon x11, it also gives an error.
I'm leaving the log from the first virtual machine with the fresh cinnamon installation.

Re: [SOLVED] Black screen after trying to install cinnamon on a fresh inst

Where did you export that?
There's https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=305770 but that doesn't fit your backtrace hmm

Re: [SOLVED] Black screen after trying to install cinnamon on a fresh inst

LoadModule: "vmware"

Hey, "xf86-video-vmware" is currently broken (beyond repair) due to a related upstream deprecation by Mesa. It is likely to be removed from the distro. You should be using the "modesetting" driver instead. i.e. uninstall "xf86-video-vmware". More details here: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … ote_275921
