[SOLVED] password as hash by archinstall when reinstallation

In archinstall 3.0.5, a new feature: "Store password as hash instead of plaintext."

I'm going to reinstall archlinux,
now my home directory is on a dedicated partition,
if I keep all the contents in the home directory during reinstallation,
will the passwords be stored as hash or in plaintext?

If the passwords are in plaintext, any way to convert them to hashes?

BTW, where are the passwords stored?

I've asked AI, it's archinstall that saves password in config file, logs, etc.
I think it makes sense, so no question now.
