I have an Arch VM setup to use 3D Acceleration on Virtio graphics, using Spice Display and OpenGL
Host is Arch Linux
KVM running in Virt Manager
Works perfectly on a laptop with an Intel i9-13900H chip
Graphics are corrupted when running an identical setup on a laptop with a Core Ultra 9 185H chip
(when I say identical, I mean I took my ssd and swapped it into the other laptop)
UEFI settings are the same on both laptops.
It almost looks like a vsync issue -- I see the right colors but they are strewn across the screen in lines in a way that makes the whole thing completely unusable
Any recommended fixes? Maybe some boot parameter I am missing?
What is different about the iGPU's in these chips that would allow hw acceleration to work perfectly in the host on both chips with the same config, but get scrambled in a VM on just the chip with Intel Arc?

Hi luklabs,
I have exactly the same issue on Debian 13 (Linux 6.12, mesa 25.0.7, qemu 10.0.6, virt-manager 5.0) on Intel Core Ultra 7 165H.
Did you find a solution? Or an existing bug report?
This seem related to the newer Intel GPU.

None of the above. I stopped using that machine, but still interested in seeing if this gets resolved.
