Backlight not working on AMD Radeon 680M (RTX 3050 laptop, hybrid graphics)
[System Overview]
Laptop: Acer Nitro V
CPU: AMD (Rembrandt)
iGPU: Radeon 680M
dGPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050
DE/WM: Hyprland
Distro: Arch Linux (fully up to date)
Kernel: 6.15.2-arch1-1
Hi all,
I’m fairly new to Arch and still learning my way around, so please forgive me if I’ve missed something obvious or overlooked anything in the Arch Wiki or forums.
I’ve run into an issue where I can’t manually control my screen brightness. Tool like brightnessctl don’t work because there is no /sys/class/backlight entry on my system.
Interestingly, TLP seems to be able to reduce my brightness to the minimum level when I unplug my charger, so I know brightness control is somehow possible — just not by me.
If there’s a specific driver I may have missed, a kernel module I should load, or a different method entirely for systems like mine, I’d be truly grateful for any guidance. I genuinely want to understand what’s going on and how to fix it properly.
Thank you in advance for your time and patience.

(I assume you didn't disable the iGPU?)
Why I run Arch? To "BTW I run Arch" the guy one grade younger.
And to let my siblings and cousins laugh at Arsch Linux...
