So I am using Asus TUF A17 2023 FA707XU laptop. When using it, sometimes when I resume my pc from suspend I get
nvidia-modeset: ERROR: GPU:0: Failed to tear down display engine channel
error in a tty and my graphical user interface doesn't launch. I have to restart my laptop by pressing the power button which is very annoying.
The output of sudo journalctl -b -1 | curl -F "file=@-" https://0x0.st is :-
The output of cat /proc/driver/nvidia/params | curl -F "file=@-" https://0x0.st is :-

Interesting. I have similar issues on my dual GPU laptop, but I primarily use the iGPU (intel) and the dGPU is just for gaming/CUDA. Typically my dGPU goes effectively "offline" following a suspend and will only respond to a reboot.

I have switched to Windows for now because it is an NVIDIA bug :- https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/b … e/334745/6
Many people are experiencing the same issue, but there has been no response to the bug report.
I have no idea when this bug will be fixed, so for now, I have switched to Windows. I will switch back to Linux once the bug is fixed.

As I mention in the upstream issue thread, please attach your nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file whenever submitting issues.
That helps speed things along and improve the odds of catching developer attention.
