I'm new to Arch. Just installed it. I can't install packages with pacman, download stays at 0%. I am connected to the internet (`ping` works, about 29 ms, and I'm posting this). Pacman worked fine when I was in the live environment on the USB that I installed Arch with.
I tried using reflector, and it says `WARNING: failed to rate http(s) download (...): Download timed out after 5 second(s)` or `failed to rate rsync download (...) [Error 2] No such file or directory: 'rsync'` for almost all of them I think. I even copied the mirrorlist form that USB but it still doesn't work.
I can still install things with the USB. If I connect to a VPN, then it does work. It also works if I use my Android phone to connect with USB tethering. What's wrong?
Edit: I just had to change my DNS nameserver, it's working now

On live medium network is set up and working automatically, on installed system you have to setup it yourself manually because users may have different needs and there are many options to choose, see: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Network.
