[Solved][KDE Plasma] Question about Spectacle

Hi!

I've been struggling with screen grabbers, and i've decided to ask y'all. I've been using flameshot on mint, but when i started using arch with plasma, i realized it only works on my main monitor, which i found out is a limitation. Theres a workaround suggested in the github page (i found said workaround on the arch wiki), but it didn't work for me, so i went back to the default plasma grabber, which is Spectacle. I actually quite like it, the only feature i'm missing is the pinning screenshots, but i can live without it. What annoys me though, is the screen popping up, after i click on copy. If i click on copy, all i want to do is to copy the screenshot i created, every time this happens i waste my time closing the popup.

So my question is: can i turn this off somehow? Its not the end of the world, but it does annoy me.

Re: [Solved][KDE Plasma] Question about Spectacle

Hit the Options button and there is an option labelled "Quit after manual save or copy."

With this option on, Spectacle will not produce a new window to show you the contents of what you clipped if you "copy" or "save" it. Using the "accept" button to confirm the clip will still produce the window showing clip contents should you desire it.

I haven't found the options you spoke of, however i did manage to fix it. The solution was to use "Capture Rectangular Region" shortcut as my main shortcut, which doesn't open the dialog after copying.

The setting Is not in the configuration dialog, it's in the options pop-up menu.

I couldn't figure out how to get a screenshot while the pop-up menu was open so this picture of the screen will have to do. Lol
