I got sedutil from AUR to successfully compile with version 1.49.13. The problem is that on the laptop the PBA only works with an external USB keyboard. I tried in mkinitcpio.conf in HOOKS to move keyboard before autodetect, but still no success.
Do you have any insight into how to get the laptop keyboard to work with the PBA?

Many Bios/Uefi firmwares have an option called fast boot or ultra fast boot.
If enabled the firmware will initialise the absolute bare minimum needed to boot the device and leave everything else to the OS.
Internal keyboards are often considered "not necessary to boot the device and very slow to initialise"
Try disabling those settings.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thanks for the suggestion.
Indeed, there was an option for "Fast Boot" in the BIOS, and it was enabled. Disabling this option does not affect the PBA's functionality. Password input is still only possible with an external keyboard.
