[SOLVED] Songs of Syx: Left control + mouse wheel suddenly not working

Hey all.

Songs of Syx, which is written in Java, has a mechanic of 'scaling up' certain buildings, either by using Q/E or holding left control and the scrolling the mouse wheel. After updating my system last night, however, the 'scaling up' has stopped working with the combination of left control and the mouse wheel. Q/E still work, but holding left control and scrolling no longer works as intended. It just zooms the map in and out, as if I wasn't even holding left control. I checked it was an issue with the game itself - I used the beta feature on steam to roll back to a version that I knew had worked correctly before. Unfortunately, I was still experiencing the same issue.

I tried using both my mouse and my laptop's trackpad, both experiencing the same issue. Left control and scrolling works as intended in the rest of the system e.g. it scales images in Firefox as expected

I'd appreciate any help in figuring this out

I unbound the key in the options by accident
