I just bought a 3440x1440@240Hz monitor. I also just bought a DP 2.1 cable that is rated for 8k @ 240 Hz. I have a RX 7700XT graphics card that has DP 2.1 ports on it as well. However, this resolution and refresh rate is not showing up in wlr-randr, and I cannot use this configuration. The max I can go up to is 3440x1440@120Hz, which is rather disappointing.
As for software, I am running Hyprland, specifically the HyDE project with minimal configuration. In my hyprland configuration I have already set this monitor to 3440x1440@240, so there should not be an issue there either.
I have messed around with the edid file which picks up this configuration, but I can't get it to parse all the way to block 2, and to the best of my knowledge, I cannot use a patched edid file since in block 0 and 1 the refresh rate is only 16 bits, and to get to 240hz you need more than that.
I have this resolution and refresh rate working on my macbook, so it should not be a hardware issue. I've been tinkering with this for the past 4 hours so any help is appreciated!
