Weird alignment in Terminal when downloading packages via pacman, yay

Hello, this is probably a question that comes up all the time, but I didn't find anything on it. There is this weird and broken alignment of download progress when yay is downloading packages.

Using of course a monospace font, no difference when using tmux or not it seems, or size of terminal window. Perhaps there are some incompatible things in my shell environment? Using zsh with my own config, so it's possible but what should I look for?

I am not the right person regarding questions like this. But why don't you just try backing up your config file. Put back the standard config in it's place, and run yay just to check, Then you will at least get the answer to your own question.

while true; do mount /dev/close2zero /mnt/clarity; done

Can you reproduce the problem when you use makepkg directly?

Sakura:-
Mobo: MSI MAG X570S TORPEDO MAX // Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @4.9GHz // GFX: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT // RAM: 32GB (4x 8GB) Corsair DDR4 (@ 3000MHz) // Storage: 1x 3TB HDD, 6x 1TB SSD, 2x 120GB SSD, 1x 275GB M2 SSD

Making lemonade from lemons since 2015.

As WorMzy implies, neither pacman nor packages are involved here. This is makepkg downloading source files. This is why AUR helpers get a bad rap, you really should understand the difference but the helper abstracts it so too many people don't. And yes, it could have something to do with how yay is calling makepkg.

Do you configure a custom DLAGENT in makepkg.conf?
