Keep dual boot intact Win11/Arch

I'd like to play battlefield 6 and cod 6 season 5 but both require secure boot enabled.

Afaik, secure boot will 99% f up the dual boot. I have win11 on one disk, Arch linux on the other one.

Is there a way to bypass this secure boot in bios, so I can keep both OS without any intereference?

I appreciate the upcoming helpful answers.

Re: Keep dual boot intact Win11/Arch

you can toggle on and off all the time when switching systems, but that's probably more cumbersome

If you enable secure boot properly and leave the MS keys intact this shouldn't be a problem, if you want to set this up read https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Unifie … ecure_Boot carefully (e.g. if you'd opt to use sbctl for managing the keys make sure you add the "-m" option to signify you want to keep the MS keys).

Alternatively, you could run windows on a VM. a Bit lengthy to setup but once setup it is pretty much maintenance and hassle free. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PCI_pa … h_via_OVMF
Or probably use recovery tools to allow Windows to boot without safe boot.
Safe of those two options, the easiest option is to just enable and disable secure boot when switching like V1del said.

VM will almost certainly not work for the usecase presented here. They don't want to boot Windows without safe boot, they need to boot with it on, precisely because this is something the games in question check and verify.

I don't think the games themselves check that. They query the OS. A QUEMU VM running on EFI with a simulated TPM should allow the guest OS to run as safe boot.
