Edit a post alert the members?

In a topic (e.g. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=307337&p=2 ) if a user edits 1 of his post (e.g. the last) adding infos, are the members (e.g. seth & V1del) alerted? Or no, you must create a new post?

Re: Edit a post alert the members?

Only updates since your last visit trigger mails (and even then posts can fall through the gaps if you're sufficiently frequent active, ie. sometimes I don't get notifications for even new posts)
It's ok-ish to "bump" with new information if your previous post has been some time ago (in your case 20h) and not triggered any response

PSA: this is one of the reasons to avoid kinda empty posts like "afk, will actually post later today" - nobody cares and it only feigns activity and if you then edit that post, your actual post will be missed.

Re: Edit a post alert the members?

"Neither":P
But no, edits will never trigger mail notifications.
