WM -- window with no titlebar?

Sort of trivial question...

What window managers (other than kwin) have the ability to remove the titlebar of a window (like kde/kwin can)?

Openbox - one way is to right click on titlebar and toggle "Decorate".

is there another way to do that in openbox by default for some or all applications & without using an external program?

There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)

Just edit the applications-section in ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml. For example for urxvt, it looks like this:

<applications>
  <application class="URxvt">
    <decor>no</decor>
  </application>
</applications>

<applications>
  <application class="URxvt">

I'll just add for the sake of completeness, that one can define a keybinding to toggle decoration of current window by putting following in the keyboard section of ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml:

<keybind key="A-F11">
  <action name="ToggleDecorations"/>
</keybind>

Alt-F11 can by replaced by other combination.

My answer is: I don't know. Openbox documentation is quite incomplete; it doesn't even say about <applications> section of configuration file. It's here: http://icculus.org/openbox/docs.php
Check by yourself - maybe I overlooked something. I tried putting "*", ".*" etc. instead of application's name/class, but this doesn't work. I think it might be possible to create a theme without decorations, but it's just a theory. Good luck. :-)
