New installation of Arch Linux

0.7.1 (Noodle)  (myhost) (vd/1)

myhost login:
Password:

This is the window I am right now:

Can somebody tell how to make this login and password work?...... because I have already tried typing different usernames and different passwords but still not working??....I know this question sounds stupid,but for sure I am newbie,I am just trying this arch linux today,please give a hint...:(

Password, the same you've typed during installation. If you haven't set any just hit enter

BTW 0.7.1 is very old. It would be better if yuo try to install 0.8beta2.

the root password should be empty if you used the 0.7.1 iso to install arch (iirc)

Hey qlus and dafab,thank you very much for you both,I will try your advise and continue testing the arch linux.

BTW,the 0.8beta2 shows in many individual files,but is there any iso image I can download to get the installer cd>
