archinstall fails: failed to run command 'systemctl'

Hi,

I'm trying to install arch on a system with 4 partitions : /boot, /, /home and /var
I've selected the manual partitionning step and setup mount points for each of the 4 partitions.
I checked  /boot and / for formatting but not /home where I've got existing data.

I changed a couple of parameters for France and French stuff but nothing really specific otherwise

The installation fails with:
exited with abnormal exit code [127]: chroot: failed to run command 'systemctl': no such file or directory

What can I try to solve this?

Thanks
Christian

Re: archinstall fails: failed to run command 'systemctl'

Welcome to the Arch Linux Forums.

Don't use the archinstall script for a regular installation. This is for advanced users to automate installations.
For a regular installation with more control from the user and process follow the Installation Guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide
