Microphone detected but not working

I bought a Fifine A6V microphone.

It is detected in the system, shown in Volume Control (as well as in pavucontrol), but when checking in Discord - it does not work.
I have already tried switching profiles from Mono to Pro and back, but nothing helped. I also checked its functionality on my other computer and it worked.

Start with the basics, does

arecord -Dhw:0 test.wav

work and give you something audible in "test.wav" ?

If it doesn't then you're at HW or kernel level, check dmesg and/or mixer selection with

amixer -c0

If it does, does

parecord -d alsa_input.usb-3142_Fifine_Microphone-00.mono-fallback testpulse.wav

work? If it does then ALSA and pipewire layers are fine. Discord has a tendency to auto-mute adjust gains based on other stuff that's running so double check there

Okay... I entered the first command you wrote and got this response

arecord -Dhw:0 test.wav

I chose S16_LE and recorded a couple of seconds while the console was spamming this

There was no sound in the test.wav file, so I went to the second command and entered it, here's the response:
