[SOLVED in 6.16.3] 6.16.1-arch1-1 breaks ext4 on USB

Man, judging by recent messages in this forum this kernel is a disaster.

Just to add another issue: when I mount an ext4 formatted sd card in an USB card reader I get this when I try to write *anything*:

It happens with vim, cp, whatever tries to write a file. I can read without problems, and I can write and read on VFAT partitions without problems. It's just writing on ext4 what causes that problem. The file is corrupted and lost, BTW.

It happens with a USB 2.0 cheapo reader and with decent Lexar USB 3.0 reader.

Downgrading to linux-6.15.9 fixes the issue, I can write on that partition without any problem.

If it's the same issue it should also not be present in 6.17-rc2, could you try that?

sudo pacman -U https://pkgbuild.com/~gromit/linux-bisection-kernels/linux-mainline-6.17rc2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
