AUR Firewall Blocking My Network

Hello,

I just moved into my college dorm. To my utter shock, I'm being filtered from accessing the AUR itself. I was being filtered from archlinux.org also, but I somehow managed to connect. Whenever I connect to a VPN, I am able to connect to the AUR. I also know it is not a DNS issue, as I can resolve the site's addresses. I tried accessing the AUR on Firefox, Chromium, & curl; none of them worked.

Here is the output of a verbose curl to the aur

hurricane@TheCloutPC ~/test $ curl -v https://aur.archlinux.org
* Host aur.archlinux.org:443 was resolved.
* IPv6: 2a01:4f9:c010:50::1
* IPv4: 95.217.244.97
*   Trying [2a01:4f9:c010:50::1]:443...
* Immediate connect fail for 2a01:4f9:c010:50::1: Network is unreachable
*   Trying 95.217.244.97:443...
* ALPN: curl offers h2,http/1.1
* TLSv1.3 (OUT), TLS handshake, Client hello (1):
*  CAfile: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
*  CApath: none
* TLSv1.3 (OUT), TLS alert, decode error (562):
* TLS connect error: error:0A000126:SSL routines::unexpected eof while reading
* closing connection #0
curl: (35) TLS connect error: error:0A000126:SSL routines::unexpected eof while reading

Here are some things to note:

  • I am using NetworkManager without any dns resolvers

  • My university's network is only IPv4

  • I am using cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 dns

If there is anybody who can get into contact with the person in charge of the new firewall, it would be great. I know that the AUR has been getting attacked recently, and it would suck if I had to access it via a VPN all the time.
