spotify-launcher will not start

Again, I recently lost my system and had to do a fresh reinstall. spotify-launcher worked on my old system, but now it always gives the error dialog: "Exceeded the number of retries for download". There is nothing in the Wiki about this and I don't know what to do.

Spotify changed their API and spotify-launcher/the underlying library hasn't caught up yet. There's an open issues in spotify-launchers GitHub about this.

Edit: nevermind, that was spotify-player. https://github.com/aome510/spotify-player/issues/802

Sounds like the same issue, though.

Thanks. I still don't know what to do, other than hope a future update will fix it.
