SDDM crashing on startup (sometime)
Lately, I have been experiencing issues with SDDM (almost every other time I turn my laptop) where the I am faced with a black screen after startup. I have been able to resolve it every time by changing tty and restarting sddm, but I am wondering if there is solution to this issue.

X11 crashes when you terminate SDDM, there's actually no indication for problems w/ the latter.
Please post your Xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General - if you've an nvidia GPU, the 580xx drivers are slow to init and that would fit the symptoms.
The mitigation is to sleep before the DM starts, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 8#p2256418 (you'd oc have to edit the sddm.service)
