Setting up WWAN 4G-LTE modem on existing install

Hello again!

I need some help setting up a basic WWAN modem on my ThinkPad T480s, it's a Fibocom L850-GL PCI modem, using a Golan Telecom in Israel SIM card with an active plan.

trying to follow the guide sent me to a barrier, as even after unblocking it with rfkill, ModemManager still wouldn't locate the modem.

outputs of rfkill and mmcli -L for reference:

[andaro@smolwrld ~]$ rfkill
ID TYPE DEVICE SOFT HARD
 0 bluetooth tpacpi_bluetooth_sw unblocked unblocked
 1 wwan tpacpi_wwan_sw unblocked unblocked
 2 bluetooth hci0 unblocked unblocked
 3 wlan phy0 unblocked unblocked
[andaro@smolwrld ~]$ mmcli -L
No modems were found

also, output of lscpi -nn.

[andaro@smolwrld ~]$ lspci -nn

That's your modem .

Check https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo … _broadband and especially https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xmm7360-pci

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
