Try setting the DPI directly:
Option "DPI" "96 x 96"
/path/to/Truth

The same thing happened to me last week. The only difference is that font got big.
Well I only changed them on the "GTK Style and Font" tab of the KDE Control Panel. They are now at 10 to look nice. I don't know if 10 is supposed to be an average size...
Hope it helps...

my problem is with font size on the webpages (firefox) and the text inside the editor (eclipse).

change for this in /usr/bin/startx:
defaultserverargs="-dpi 75 -nolisten tcp"
it's the only way wich works for me and for everything
the -no listen tcp is only if you don't use any network features of x

Yes, the "Monitor" section. Also, you can try appending this to ~/.Xdefaults:
Xft.dpi:96

Can you add this to your ~/.fonts.conf & restart X:
<!-- Square the DPI -->

<double>96</double>
</edit>
</match>

Oops! Sorry.
For that I set a "minimum font size" on FF (Edit/View/Preference/Content/Fonts&Colors/Advanced) to 12.

i think this is a bug with xorg, because, before the upgrade, everything is fine

I have exactly the same problem. Nothing mentioned works and I don't see any related error in /var/log/Xorg.0.log . A workaround is to downgrade xorg-server, xorg-server-utils and xf86-video-i810. The problem appears when xorg-server-1.2.0-3.pkg.tar.gz, xorg-server-utils-1.0.3-2.pkg.tar.gz and xf86-video-i810-1.7.4-2.pkg.tar.gz are installed. A strange thing is that everything is ok in Gnome (but just in Gnome, not in gdm nor openbox).
btw
why the arch maintainers dont test the pkgs before to publish?
Arch is a community linux distribution, so you can fix it as well. I guess nobody here is your slave.
Thank you free software developers for sharing your work.

I also had problems with my DPI settings, but I found a solution:
Say you have a laptop and you want to run X with 1024x768@75 DPI, all you need to do is set the DisplaySize variable in your xorg.conf following this formula:
1024x25.4 / 75 = 346,79 = 347
768x25.4 / 75 = 260
Place these values in your Monitor-Section:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
Option "DPMS" "true"
HorizSync 28.0 - 96.0 # Warning: This may fry old Monitors
VertRefresh 50.0 - 75.0 # Very conservative. May flicker.
DisplaySize 347 260
... and fonts should look normal again...

Hmmm I have the feeling that X is somewhat slower than before... and the fonts don't look that smooth anymore.
So I checked the logs
grep -e EE -e WW /var/log/Xorg.0.log
and found some warnings about misconfigured font dirs. I commented them out and added one folder I found under "/usr/share/fonts/TTF" so this is my actual xorg.conf:

but this is OK because my unichrome video card is not yet supported and so I'm just running X with the vesa driver.
So my actual question:
1. Do you find some settings in my conf that could be responsible for the slowdown of X?
2. I changed the font paths in the conf, do I have to run a tool to generate new font settings (like fontinst or something like that)

vesa driver is your problem, it's a driver that basically works, but it doesn't support any acceleration method your hardware would provide.
Could you post the output of "lspci -nn" and give the line for your unichrome videocard? I could look for a driver update that adds support for your unichrome to one of the 3 videodriver packages available for those cards.
