I'm having issues with video on Zoom. On my own computer my video looks fine, and other participants' video feeds work as they should. Audio also works fine.
However, my video barely shows up on the other participants' screens. They either see a gray screen or basically a freeze-frame of me.
Opening the Statistics - Video section in the Zoom settings shows a very high video packet loss, typically 80-90 %. It has been like this ever since I got the computer about two years ago.
If I remember correctly, I've also had similar issues with screen sharing at some point, though it seems to work OK at the moment.
My (wired) internet connection is fast, around 900 Mbps in both directions, and I haven't noticed any issues with it.
I'm using an Intel i7-13700 processor with integrated graphics (no separate GPU). The webcam is a Logitech 720p model, though I've tried with another brand of webcam too. Lowering the resolution does not help.
I also have a laptop with Arch that also uses a 13th generation Intel processor, and there everything works fine. I'm running Xorg with StumpWM; tried with Wayland too but then Zoom doesn't launch.
I update Zoom regularly, and I'm currently using the latest version in the AUR (zoom-6.5.11-2).
Looking in
.zoom/logs/zoom_stdout_stderr.log I see a few warnings/errors, like:
