Hello all,
I've been having problems with my Bluetooth headphones for a while, and I recently discovered something interesting.
Under heavy network I/O (for example, downloading a game or watching videos), Bluetooth data transmission seems to stop completely and immediately. For instance, btmon stops outputting anything while I'm downloading a game, which causes no sound, very distorted sound and/or the device to disconnect by itself after a few seconds.
How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance.
edit: Updating to kernel 6.17.1 fixed the issue. I guess the rtw89 driver had issues.

Is this maybe due to interference with Bluetooth/WiFi? Do you also get the issue when downloading via ethernet?

This can generally be normal in the case gromit mentions and also very dependant on your actual BT/Wifi chip/driver which mitigation strategies exist, what do you have here? Generally the best option if you can't download via ethernet is to connect wifi to the 5Ghz or above bands, as BT operates on 2.4 Ghz and that's where most of the potential inference is coming from.

I found some others that had issues with the RTL8852BE. I don't know why, but the recent kernel update 6.17.1 seems to have fixed my issue. There are no stutters or any random WiFi/Bluetooth disconnections anymore.
