Fingerprint device not detected on Arch Linux (HP ZBook Power G11)

I’m running Arch Linux on an HP ZBook Power G11, but the built-in fingerprint reader doesn’t appear in either lsusb or lspci. When I run lsusb, the device isn’t listed at all, and lspci also shows no fingerprint-related hardware. This suggests the fingerprint sensor might not be exposed over USB/PCIe, or it’s disabled at the firmware/BIOS level.

Has anyone with this laptop (or similar HP ZBook models) managed to get the fingerprint device working on Linux? Is it possible that the sensor is hidden behind another bus (ACPI, HID, or AMD Platform Security Processor), and if so, how can I verify? Also, does howdy/fprintd work with this model once the hardware is properly exposed?

Any tips on confirming whether the device is physically present/accessible or if it’s just unsupported on Linux would be appreciated.
