Kernel 6.16.8.arch2-1 causes hangs with amdgpu and Steam

Launching any proton game from Steam causes the amdgpu driver to hang the system. TTYs are unavailable and whole system needs to be rebooted.

Everything seems typical besides launching any game from Steam causes the message

[drm:amdgpu_job_submit [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Trying to push to a killed entity
[drm:amdgpu_job_submit [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Trying to push to a killed entity
[drm:amdgpu_job_submit [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Trying to push to a killed entity
[drm:amdgpu_job_submit [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Trying to push to a killed entity

And immediately causes the system to hang to the point where even TTYs are not accessible. This happens with 100% reproducibility.

Rolling the kernel back to 6.16.7.arch1-1 with the command `sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux-6.16.7.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst` has fixed the issue for me temporarily.

Revert to 6.16.8.arch1-1 or upgrade to 6.16.8.arch3-1 in testing should fix this

having the same issue on an intel integrated gpu since last month.
