Windows icons not showing in xfce4-panel 4.20.5

I then shutdown before going to sleep, then booted again this morning. After I logged in my XFCE session, I saw that the opened windows buttons don’t show icons anymore (except when two or more are grouped in one):

The only XFCE-related package at fault seems to be libxfce4windowing, but I did not see any matching bug report for libxfce4windowing or xfce4-panel on Arch’s or XFCE’s GitLabs.

Are there others people who experience this, too?

I have some issues in MATE after yesterdays update of glib2 and friends. My own AUR package mate-applet-lockkeys can't show icons in the panel anymore. And the MATE screenshot utility seems suddenly unable to save png to disk. I don't have time to investigate this more today, but I suspect it has something to do with glib2 and friends. Maybe.

It was a bug in gdk-pixbuf2 - the updated version has hit the repos, update again.

gdk-pixbuf2 2.44.1-4 does not solve my issues. But I'll have to look into that later.

I was responding more to the Xfce user as this fixed my issue with the tasklist on xfce4-panel. Perhaps there's another issue on Mate?

Downgrading to gdk-pixbuf2-2.42.12-2 fixed the issue with missing icons and text in xqf
