Fn+F8 don't display battery state

Hello,
I have my function key for display battery state which don't work under gnome.
So i search the script which do this please (like under ubuntu for example).

You can use keytouch for binding function keys and multimedia keys to applications. If you know what ubuntu does run when pushing the keys fn+f8 you can accomplish the same.

Not sure what is your laptop model, but there is also acerhk which may or may not do what you need, depending on your laptop model

What's the point of seeing battery state only by pressing hotkey? IMHO better is having indicator on panel and key bound to something more useful (like switching stepping profiles)

you can also use xbindkeys;
